You're in a high leverage, critical choice period right now. As we close out this quarter and get ready for the next, we are making decisions about where to focus that will have longer range consequences (grading & setting new OKRs, etc).
Three points about that:
(1) **Take care of yourself**: people are often pretty tired by this point in the quarter. Do what you need to in order to replenish yourself enough to make high quality decisions.
(2) **Your mantra: "less, but better."** Repeat this to yourself over and over for the next two weeks as you make decisions about where to invest. Remember: focus is cutting, not ranking.
(3) **This choice repeats**. If you are getting lots of pushback about doing fewer things, remember that this choice is not permanent. You're only making a commitment for the next quarter. You get to keep iterating based on what you learn.
You get to choose a new focus again soon. Just try focusing on less, but better, for one quarter.
(Everything above is more important the fewer teams / resources you have. One product team can't tackle six areas at once.)
